We believe that all growth happens in a
sequential and democratic way. All children
progress through stages that happen at their
own individual rate. The Development of the
whole child must be considered as we provide
experiences that will nurture and facilitate
growth.
Co-ops are built upon mutual trust. Parents
must trust each other to care for their children at
school and to observe health and safety rules
and use good judgement when rules do not
apply. We believe children learn to trust and
get along with adults and children in their early
years and we hope their co-op preschool
experience reinforces that.
We want children to:
develop a positive self image.
develop creativity and imagination.
develop cognitive skills at his/her own
development level.
develop motor skills (large and small).
develop language skills (listening and speaking).
be curious to wonder and to seek answers.
learn to work and play independently (away
from home) accepting help and direction from
other adults.
learn to function in a group.
grow in ability to use acceptable behavior.
